Schenectady daily resoundingly endorses wind energy, Iberdrola-Energy East proposed deal

A June 8 editorial from the Daily Gazette of Schenectady begins:

Wind energy is important to the country, which is why Congress should renew federal tax credits when they expire at the end of the year. It is also important to New York state and Schenectady, which is why the proposed takeover of Energy East by the Spanish utility Iberdrola should be approved, and why Schenectady’s colleges should be joining with General Electric to train workers for this emerging industry.
